Founding president of the New Zealand Software Association, Peter has a 30+ year track record in the technology industry. His chasm leaping experience started with pioneering efforts to export New Zealand technology products in the 1980s and has continued through to successful export ventures today. Prior to Greentree, Peter was General Manager - Marketing and Strategy for gen-i limited taking a lead role in the strong growth of one of NZ’s leading technology companies. He has also provided management consulting services to organisations ranging from medium sized, privately owned technology companies to large multi-national corporations and has been involved in the M&A activity of several NZ technology companies. He uses this experience in board roles with a number of NZ software exporters. Wayne Hudson
With over 20 years’ experience in the technology sector, Wayne specialises in the acquisition and sale of technology businesses, capital raising, joint ventures, and the protection and exploitation of intellectual property. Wayne has negotiated, and advised many owners and entrepreneurs on, agreements for licensing, developing, distributing, deploying and commercialising their technology products and intellectual property. The immediate past President of the New Zealand Software Association, Wayne is a trustee of the HiGrowth Project Trust. John McLean
John's business career began in farming, then expanded into importing and distributing farm machinery. In the 80's he shifted his focus to the offshore markets. Beginning with the export of marine products into Japan and Hong Kong. This was followed by the sale of manufacturing equipment to South East Asia. He became involved with the technology industry in the 90s developing an electronic product using digital technology. Through the 90's he provided consulting services for business expansion which included sourcing funding for large capital development projects. In 2001 he established a successful business training programme to assist the commercialization of Auckland based technology companies. In addition to the training programs he now has several board appointments assisting rapidly growing technology companies. John O'Hara
He has also completed over a dozen offshore licensing agreements with major American and English companies and established successful joint venture companies in Canada and the United Kingdom. Projects he has completed successfully include negotiating and establishing joint venture businesses, negotiating technology based commercial agreements, negotiating and completing software and hardware licensing agreements, buying and selling New Zealand technology companies, commercially resolving major commercial technology disputes, providing strategic advice as a director of technology companies and establishing a commercial company from IP within a government agency. Concentrate have completed strategic marketing projects for more than 40 New Zealand technology exporters. The company helped software exporter SLI Systems to become NZ Hi-Tech marketer of the Year in 2005. Owen is Chairman of the Canterbury Software Cluster and is a regular writer on marketing issues, including a fortnightly column in the Christchurch Press. |
